Torstar
Torstar Corporation is a broadly based media company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Its businesses include the Star Media Group led by the Toronto Star, Canada's largest daily newspaper, and digital properties including thestar.com, toronto.com, Wheels.ca, Workopolis, Olive Media, and eyeReturn; Metroland Media Group, publishers of community and daily newspapers in Ontario; and Harlequin Enterprises, a leading global publisher of women's fiction.
Newspapers and websites in the Torstar group, like many news organizations, are facing a digital transition. In particular, staff needed to learn how to use social media for reporting, publishing and outreach. Torstar needed a custom curriculum and hands-on training sessions on various digital media topics.
We created a comprehensive social media training curriculum and more than a dozen training sessions centered on a number of digital media areas.
We have a strong, ongoing relationship with Torstar staff, who use our resources in the newsroom.
