In short, we track technology trends and advise companies on how to take best advantage of upcoming social networks, mobile apps, gear and more. Our history of integrating digital tools to increase traffic, monetize content, launch new products, train corporations and newsrooms and develop long-term strategies has made WMG a trusted business partner. We use a customized, research-driven approach with every client to ensure that each project utilizes the very best technology available to achieve a company's goals. Our purpose is to help companies harness digital platforms to maximize their reach and their consumer base and to empower staff with practical multimedia skills.

WMG consultants are highly trained and experienced. And because we require all WMG consultants to be vendor neutral — we receive absolutely no financial gain from any company or vendor we recommend — our clients feel confident that the digital tools and strategies they implement are the best for their individual projects.

Engagements and Fees

We offer a variety of consulting services. Aside from our customized day or half-day training modules, we prefer to work with our clients over an extended period of time so that we may develop and help implement the strategies best suited for each project and organization. After an initial discussion, we deliver a detailed proposal defining your expectations, our approach to the project, goals we plan to meet with you, a timeframe or work schedule, a list of the deliverables we expect to offer and a clear explanation of our rates. Each proposal includes a case study and/or list of previous clients with similar projects and their direct contact information for prospective clients to use if they wish.

Our engagements include:

Day Rate: WMG spends a single day at your office to assess your specific situation, brainstorm the issues you're facing, offer feedback and strategic advice, and create action plans for your management team.

Strategy Sessions: We offer intensive, in-person strategy sessions to help your organization's stakeholders define goals, assess digital projects/ products, strategic digital plans and more. The centerpiece of these sessions is innovation. At the end, your team will have created a strategic digital plan, identified benchmarks and goals, developed a timeline and action plan, and selected key staff members to move your organization forward. Strategy Sessions range from a few days to a few weeks (with a minimum requirement of three days). Sessions are priced depending on the number of days needed.

Projects: We work with many clients on a project-basis to address a specific, immediate need in their organizations. Examples include: identifying, selecting, negotiating and implementing a new content management system; developing a multi-pronged mobile strategy (mobile apps, mobile site and monitization); creating a comprehensive social media strategy and action plan. Projects are priced depending on the number of days required to complete the project.

Retainer: We advise our retainer clients on numerous projects, provide immediate research and feedback when requested, develop in-person strategy sessions and more. Retainer clients have access to WMG consultants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the entire calendar year. Because we have the opportunity to develop a relationship with all team members over time, we are often able to anticipate challenges and preemptively create practical solutions and successful strategies. Retainer clients receive fresh research on emerging technologies and trends throughout each month. We require a client commitment of four days per month (32 hours) for three months. Longer commitments are negotiated at discounted rates.

Training: Our training modules vary slightly in cost depending on content, trainer and location. The rate for a customized "10 Tech Trends" presentation at your office, hosted by Amy Webb, depends on length, location and the number of people attending. The presentation can last 1 - 4 hours and includes personalized folders for all attendees.
